"My boyfriend and I had an incredible stay at the Shepherd’s hut and would highly, highly recommend it as an idyllic escape.
The hosts are legendary, in a league of their own.
The hut itself is amazing, it feels spacious and every detail has been thought of. My personal highlights include; the deepest bath you’ll ever encounter, the comfiest armchairs to collapse into after a mountain hike/ pub walk and the raised bed with a starlit ceiling - felt like sleeping on a cloud. There are too many cool things to list, the hut has to be seen and experienced, but every inch of the place is beautifully designed.
I can’t not mention the views from the hut as they’re stunning. We loved having a coffee each morning staring at the mountain and rolling hills before breakfast (I’m obsessed with Eileen’s avocado with fried cherry tomatoes on toast - it’s the one)! We also had a campfire and drinks under the stars one evening which was magical.
We were lucky with our weather but with snow, rain or shine you can’t go wrong with this getaway. It’s a heavenly part of the world and such an awesome hut to stay in. Thank you again so much for such a fabulous stay - we’ll be back!"

"A fantastic cosy weekend!
Thank you to Eileen and James for making us feel so welcome. Our choice of breakfast, brought to the door, was a lovely touch. The Hut was full of treasures which made are stay so enjoyable; a super comfortable bed beneath a star lit ceiling, a steep walled bath, hot chocolates and the family dogs greeting us with wagging tails.
Highly recommend this as a romantic get away or base camp from which to walk among the Welsh mountains."
